Dear Me--Raine:
I guess it is the year 2012, if you are reading this. Hmm, I wonder how things are. As I sit here typing a letter to myself, I am in Cayley, a town you've probably forgotten. Remember all the fun times you had in Grand Cache before you had to leave?
I keep thinking about the look on my face in thirteen years when I find my own letter full of hopefully inspirational things and little tidbits of information that will most likely be necessary in later life. This may sound cheesy.
So, onward...
- REMEMBER YOUR GOALS. Do whatever it takes to do what you want with your life.
- Tell Mum and Dah that you love them. They love you. You know they do.
- Live in New York at least once. And don't be afraid of the traffic there. Just follow the signs (And the guy in front of you)
- Be a singer or a masseuses. After all, those are the only things that you are really good at. At least, that's how it is now.
- No problem can't be solved with a little confrontation
- Don't be afraid to TELL THE TRUTH
- Don't kill things unless they are suffering. Simply capture and relocate them.
- Don't be afraid of spiders. They can't hurt you, and the ones that can don't live here; they're in Brazil and Arizona.
- Nothing is worth killing yourself over. Not even love. Come to think of it, not even hate.
- Don't jump to conclusions, and don't assume things.
- Things aren't always as they seem. People have to earn your TRUST.
- Don't let yourself be used. You aren't a pawn.
- If you have a kid, love it. Don't lie to it. Tell it everything it wants to know. Even awkward things, like what an orgasm is.
- Don't regret stuff
- Love and be loved. Live and let live.
- When someone hurts you, tell them. Don't hide. You are completely entitled to your emotions.
- Remember Wiccan law: "And it harm none, do as thou wilt." Smart, huh?
- Things will happen as they well should. Maybe not as you planned, but, hey, nothing ever will.
- DISCOVER NEW THINGS. Worry not about what will happen or what has happened, but what is happening. Hell, don't even worry. There's probably nothing you can do, and it causes gray hairs.
- DEPEND ON YOURSELF. That way, if you let yourself down, there's on one else to blame.
- As you talk to people about what you think, keep one thing in mind. They are allowed to different opinions than you. Everyone is entitled. Everyone. No one is wrong, and you are not always right.
- Don't not change because you are afraid people will notice. They might, and deep down inside, that's what you want, isn't it? You want people to see and hear you.
- Don't be afraid to like someone nobody else does. Maybe other people don't get him.
- Lose weight only for yourself
- Try hard at everything you do. Try not to go half-assed on anything
- Be a good person. Be tactful but truthful, honest but polite. It will pay off. When people know that you won't lie to them, they'll value your opinion more.
- Watch sappy movies. A good cry now and then is soul food.
- You are variable. You can change your mind whenever you want. Have reasons to back up your opinion, though.
There, I think that's all. Have a nice life
