Death isn't what it used to be...
I haven't found any good horror movies lately, maybe its the plotless storyline, or the poor special effects. Land of the Dead is a little bit of both.
We have an island off the coast of North America, where an epidemic (which turns their dead into zombies) suddenly breaks out. Two factions are formed. Some are determined to kill the dead again, while some would prefer to keep them alive (they ARE their loved ones after all, even if they're dead). Some dialogue and lots of mindless killings in between.
Meanwhile, a bunch of renegade soldiers are having the same zombie problem. When the anti-zombies faction are exiled from the island, they joined up with the bunch of renegade then comes back to the island to kill some more. THE END.
If you'd like to rest your mind, and watch people shoot, hack, and kill each other and zombies shoot each other and people shoot, hack and kill zombies and zombies eat or kill people and just generally stop thinking, then I suppose this is the movie for you.
